Comercial use of web api and or web sdk or embedded player

Hi there I am attempting to make a web application that is a guess the song game. Is there any way i could use the spotify api and web sdk or embedd the playlists to supply the small snippets of music to play somthing like 20-30 seconds of songs for free (or any amount). Ideally i would only play the small preview for each song that exists for non premium accounts. This is no affiliation to a company or anything and i am a first time developer creating this as a project/hobby. Would it be possible for me to use the spotify tools for free (as i dont need to play complete songs) and also make revenue off of the website via ways such as ads?

Or additionally to my above question. Is there a way i could have a login screen so the people using the web app would have to log in with there spotify account first and then they would have access to the music now and because its going through their spotify account its allowed for me to make revenue off of it? idk just another idea would love some clarity :).
