Hi out there,
I created an App that uses the PKCE-Auth-flow. Recently, I deployed it with Netlify, and I encountert a strange behavior.
On my devices and on those of some friends it works fine: there is no problem with logging in and using the App. But others get a 403 during the authentification (GET-request) and are left with a blank page.
I asked a friend, who is also a developer, but he also could not figure out, why this is happening. He assumed that it must have something to do with the set-up of the deployment. But there is not that much/nothing I could change in the dash-board settings of my App. Or am I wrong?
I updated the redirect-Uri and Website Name in the Apps setting, and included all necessary enviroment variables into the deployment settings on Netlify. As I am using Create-React my build command there is CI=false npm run build.
Did anyone else had/have the same problem?
Does anyone have an idea what could cause the issue?
I appreaciate any help!

Hi again, ilah2!
I understand the confusion! Yes, if you want your app to go beyond the initial development phase and be accessible to a broader audience, you'll need a quota extension.
I admit that this information can be a bit tricky to find if you don't know where to look.
To access details about Quota Modes, go to your app's Dashboard, click on Settings, then click the (i) next to "App Status: Development mode," and finally, select "Learn more about which mode is right for your app" in the popup.
For convenience, here's a direct link: Quota Modes.
Let me know if this helps, and feel free to ask if you have any other questions.
Hi ilah2,
To be sure: did you also add their names and email addresses to the dashboard of your app? Or does it already have a quota extension?
Hi Ximzend,
thank you for your reply. I did not know that I need a quota extension to bring the app 'alive'. So this is always neccessary, when you deploy an app?
But what is realy confusing then is that some can login, also i did not add them to the dashboard. But as I now figured out, they cannot use the search.

Hi Ximzend,
thank you very much for clarifying. It helped a lot!
I decided not to apply for the Quota extension. This is far beyond the requirements of the task we got from Codecademy, and it will take too much time i do not have.
But I am very glad to know now that I did not make a mistake in my code.
Thanks again!
