Development of an independent app on Windows 11

I've noticed that Spotify runs a Microsoft Edge window on Windows 11, instead of using a Spotify's proprietary app. It would be cool if you develop an independent app for Windows 11, an .exe installer file that I could download, like a media player, but only for audio files. This could set my keyboard's media player key to open Spotify, instead opening any other app.
