Device name replaced with “iPhone”

All of a sudden, all of our devices are showing as “iPhone” “AirPods” or “samsung” rather than the person’s own device name. How do I fix this since it’s nice to know who’s connected at that time?

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone. Very frustrating. I've tried a clean reinstall on iOS but it didn't fix it. My iPhone still displays as "iPhone" rather than "Ryan's iPhone" in the Connect to Device menu on the desktop App as well as the Get Available Devices API. Other devices seem to show properly - for example, my computer's device name shows correctly (it doesn't just say "MacBook Pro").
