Hard limit on playlist changes?

Hard limit on playlist changes?

Hey all. I've been using the web api to maintain a playlist for the last several years. Since about a month ago, I've not been able to make any changes to this playlist either through the app (desktop and mobile) nor the API. If I try to remove a track from the playlist, it just comes back immediately. Nothing happens when I try to edit the name or description of the playlist.

 

When using the API, I get an error about reaching the maximum number of changes to the playlist when attempting to add tracks (I can't anyway as there are 10k tracks).

 

 

Fatal error: Uncaught SpotifyWebAPI\SpotifyWebAPIException: Unable to modify playlist - Reached maximum change count

 

 

When trying to remove them, I get a very vague error and asked to check the parameters of the request.

 

 

Fatal error: Uncaught SpotifyWebAPI\SpotifyWebAPIException: Could not remove tracks, please check parameters.

 

 

 

Could it be related to a limit to the number of snapshots that can be made to a playlist? Has anyone encountered this before?

There is a playlist size limit of 10k tracks. The linked playlist has reached that limit.

Yes it has. If you read my post, you will see that deletions no longer work for this playlist, nor do any modifications at all.

Can you try to remove 1 track manually and see if you can use them with that playlist again?

Did Spotify support help? Same issue, but my experience is that Spotify pretty much ignore people nowadays working with their API 😞
