My Question or Issue

I don't understand why in the StreamingHistory, some tracks have the field "msPlayed" with 0 as a value.

Example:

    "endTime" : "2022-03-30 20:08",
    "artistName" : "Ludovico Einaudi",
    "trackName" : "Two Trees",
    "msPlayed" : 0
In some cases, I saw that the endTime is the same with others like this:
{
    "endTime" : "2022-04-08 20:39",
    "artistName" : "ROSALÍA",
    "trackName" : "MOTOMAMI",
    "msPlayed" : 61346
  },
  {
    "endTime" : "2022-04-08 20:39",
    "artistName" : "ROSALÍA",
    "trackName" : "MOTOMAMI",
    "msPlayed" : 0
  }

Good question PJ, so the "msPlayed" field in the Spotify StreamingHistory indicates the duration of time in milliseconds that you played a particular track. When the "msPlayed" value is 0, it typically means that the track was skipped or not played at all, which could be due to various reasons such as a user skipping the track, playback issues, or simply not finishing the track.

In the example you provided, the first track "Two Trees" has a "msPlayed" value of 0, which means that it was not played at all. On the other hand, the second example with "MOTOMAMI" has two entries with the same "endTime" but different "msPlayed" values. This could happen if the track was played more than once or if there was some inconsistency in the way the data was captured or recorded.

It's also worth noting that the Spotify StreamingHistory data is based on the playback data collected by Spotify's servers, which can sometimes have discrepancies or inaccuracies.

Hope to of provided some sight on the topic,
