Jupyter Kernel Freezes using spotipy

My Question or Issue

I am using the spotify API for developers for school. I am doing a data cleaning class and the algorithm I have I do send a lot of requests but not enough to be considered a threat (as I believe). 

It works sometimes however, half way through my algorithm spotipy the search function hangs the python3 kernel up in the jupyter notebook with no error. Once the python3 kernel is hung up it has to be killed.

Ive read that, and not really. 

- I'm not getting a 429 error, its just freezing. 

- If it is that, its just refusing me service for a day it seems like. 

I can certainly slow it down, its just not apparent to me that I am being rate limited because theres no error propogating in the python code for me to observe, only that its frozen.

It turns out I was hitting the rate limit but the python module spotipy was not throwing an error, it would just linger forever errorless.
