Not getting most recently most tracks through /v1/me/player/recently-played

I'm observing that my API client is intermittently not receiving the list of latest recently played tracks through the following endpoint:

https://api.spotify.com/v1/me/player/recently-played

I'm observing however that services such as Last.fm seem to be getting an updated list.

This seems to happen from time to time for a day or so and then the responses return to normal and the most up-to-date list is returned.

My API is currently still in Developer mode, is there a limitation that sometimes those apps do not get the most up-to-date information?
