Persistent 429 on GET /playlists/{playlist_id}

Solved!

Persistent 429 on GET /playlists/{playlist_id}

Hello,

I’m encountering a consistent **429 Too Many Requests** error when trying to fetch details of a specific playlist via the Web API, even though:

- I use a valid access token (Authorization: Bearer ...)
- The playlist is public and is accessible in the regular Spotify client / web app
- My request rate is low (I’m not making hundreds of calls per second)
- I tried requesting different fields: name, tracks, images - every request to that playlist returns 429.

**Playlist ID**: '6p4rQ741rLbCbZLv5wCMHj'
**Endpoint**: 'GET https://api.spotify.com/v1/playlists/6p4rQ741rLbCbZLv5wCMHj'

Spotify Web API always returns 429, making that playlist completely inaccessible via the API.

Why this is a problem:
- The playlist is publicly visible on Spotify’s web/desktop app, so blocking it at the API level seems inconsistent.
- I need access to basic playlist data in my application, e.g.:
'https://api.spotify.com/v1/playlists/0BYXdk1VL4h9G5RfFh1MJo%20?fields=followers'

Could you please investigate whether:
1. This is an intentional rate limiting / blocking
2. There is a way to whitelist this playlist or similar playlists for API access
3. This is a bug and should be corrected

Thank you for your help!

Stan

I probably explained the problem. I exceeded the download limit, which I don’t know how it was set.
