Receiving NoneType when getting playlist and user info

I'm building a spotify app in python. I've currently got my window running, and it seems the API Auth is working properly. I can print my playlist, and profile info, in my terminal. But when trying to p[ass the info to my HTML template it's not working so well and tells me NoneType is not subcriptable. My question, I guess is, doe Spotify API see playlists as 'None'? Or am I more than likely running into issues trying to render it to HTML from pytornado? I'm very confused here.
