Request for Educational Use of Spotify Audio Previews in UCF Student Capstone Project

My Question or Issue

We are a group of senior Computer Engineering students at the University of Central Florida working on a music trivia web app called "SoundByte" for our Senior Design Capstone.

The project is 100% educational/demonstrational, non-commercial, and will not be monetized in any form. Our current implementation uses royalty-free music, but we’re very interested in integrating Spotify’s 30-second audio previews (via the Web API) to improve the gameplay experience and music variety.

We will not be storing or downloading the previews. We will simply play them using the preview URLs during gameplay. All logic would remain on the front end, and we are fully committed to respecting Spotify's terms and licensing rights.

We are kindly requesting permission or guidance on whether this is allowed for educational use, and whether additional terms need to be followed.
