Search Api Issue Not Providing Preview_url

I'm using the Spotify Search API to fetch tracks. I do get a successful response with track data, but none of the tracks include a preview_url — it is either missing or always null. Why is the preview_url not available in the search results, and what can I do to reliably get preview clips for the tracks?
