Search on track object by tempo/bpm

Solved!

Search on track object by tempo/bpm

The Spotify API allows searching for tracks via a multitude of properties, but not tempo.

Are there any plans to implement this key into the search endpoint for the track object?

I am thinking about building an app to create running playlists and need this feature.

Hey @voxlwolf, thanks for coming to the Spotify Community for help!

That's a good suggestion! There's currently no endpoint to search tracks based on tempo/BPM. You can check out these playlists: 'https://open.spotify.com/genre/running' for already-made playlists based on BPM or check out the Get Audio Analysis endpoint for tempo/BPM information from specific tracks.

If a tempo/BPM Search option is something you'd like to see, I recommend creating a new idea on the Ideas board. That way, Spotify can keep track of it.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Have a good one,

Hi, is this still unavailable?

im wondering if already raised as a feature request, and if we can upvote. Also how many songs can be queried, if you wanted to query the library and then filter the results by bpm and other things?

Almost Unrelated, and awesome

With the Get Recommendations endpoint, you get tracks with a specified tempo. You only need to provide a seed like track_id, artist_id or genre_seed. You can find all the genre seeds you can use, using the Get Available Genre Seeds endpoint.

Just found this reply whilst reading latest/ related, another user querying result '1' for time _signature object... Was gonna ask If the same applicable here, eg is that object seedable & queryable, but from the descriptions it looks like that can't be used to return songs with a specific time signature, eg 7/8 or ordered/grouped/filtered by timesig*

I wonder how pulse* works, if this information (4/4 etc) is available (sadly the search and UI appears limited to song/artist title)

Thanks 👍

Now all mentioned APIs are deprecated. So what way do we have to get BPM of track using Spotify API

Hi, also interested about this deprecacted warning. What is it about?
