Spotify API/Oauth -- "Login with Spotify For Artists"?

Hi there -- I'm working on a project using the Spotify API (among others), and a big piece of it is verifying that a user signing up as a Spotify Artist is who they say they are. Spotify's API absolutely offers the ability to log in via Oauth, but near as I can tell, none of the scopes I can request during Oauth would tell me if they are a Spotify Artist, or what their Artist ID might be. It would be a big help to be able to do this automatically -- am I missing something obvious, or does Spotify not currently offer this feature?

Right now, there's no endpoint which can tell you whether the user is verified as artist. If this is something you'd like to see, I recommend creating a new idea on the Ideas board. That way, Spotify can keep track of it.
