Unable to create app in Spotify Developer

I cannot create an app. I get an error message "Something went wrong, we were not able to create your app. Please try again later." I've tried multiple times over the course of the day and used several browsers. I've tried resetting my password and verifying my email. I need this to be resolved quickly as I am using Spotify Developer for an online JavaScript course.

I am also having this issue, I have an app already created but when I go to create an additional app, I get the "Something went wrong, we were not able to create your app. Please try again later." 

Seems like a pretty generic error message. Hope they fix it soon

I had this issue, with the same generic error, but it now works:

1. Make sure you've added the redirect URI, using the 'Add' button at the end
2. Make sure you're app name doesn't have spaces - mine had a space, and didn't flag this as an error at all, but when I removed it, it worked? I suspect the same could be true of special characters, or anything that isn't alphanumeric (e.g. I suspect a full stop is stopping it working too)

Adding to this - turns out my dashboard has 4 additional apps that 'failed to create' seeing the same error message as above, but still existed in the dashboard...
