Unable to follow on Spotify by clicking "Follow" button - Chrome, Edge, Safari - All devices

I used https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/widgets/generate/follow-button/ to create code to use as a template for embedding "Follow on Spotify" buttons on a website. 

But seems the "follow-function" of the widget is not working properly.

Chrome, Edge, Safari - After clicking "follow", there is no effect on the Spotify account (no follow) and this error is displayed in console:
