Using Spotify as an OIDC provider for firebase

My Question or Issue

I've configured Spotify with Firebase as an OIDC provider and am trying to login with it via popup. I've configured the redirect uri with the value that was provided to me from firebase. In Firebase I've set up my client id and secret and have the issuer url as "https://accounts.spotify.com"

Now when I'm trying to sign in, I'm getting the error invalid_scope without anymore explanation. For debugging purposes I've gone as far as not requesting any scopes. Though I want to request playlist-modify-private, playlist-read-private, user-read-private, user-read-email
