Why do the shuffle play prioritizes some songs over the others?

I've been curating playlists for many years now on different genres but the thing that I notice on all of them while trying to use the Shuffle Play, is that you will always hear the same subset of songs over the others. It seemingly feels like Spotify is playing songs first based on their algorithminc performance, causing some songs to be played less, eventhough I liked them the same as the "prioritized" songs. 

It causes a really bad listening experience since it feels like it is useless to curate songs anymore and you should rather use Daily Mix playlists instead.

I do not have a concrete evidence for this and it may be just a cognitive bias but if anyone have similar experience, please let me know.
