currently_playing api not working in vercel

My Question or Issue
I am currently with the spotify currently_playing and recently_played api as fallback if no track is_playing. This works as expected locally - I can see the track I am currently listening to and when I change the track, it is updated. Whenever no track is being played, I can see what was recently played

However when I deploy to vercel, the API does not work.The track I see is the track I last played at the time of deployment and changing tracks doesn't work, it's the same credentials.

What might be wrong?
