iOS SDK Disconnect when app goes to background

Issue : 

We've built an app which consumes Spotify services. When my app is moved to background the SDK gets disconnected automatically. When I try to reconnect to Spotify again when my app comes to foreground, it connects properly but the playback data is not getting returned properly, I need to close my app and Spotify app and open again for all the functions to work properly.

Can I get a solution for this issue ? Is this an issue with Spotify iOS SDK ?

This Happens only in Spotify iOS SDK, It's works properly in Android using the Spotify Android SDK. The app works fine when in background and in sleep.

Does your app have background mode enabled in info.plist. I think the native app would need to have that enabled to receive the events and remain connected.
