Annoyed I can't get 3 month deal, etc

I've been using Spotify premium for over two years and I got the first month free.  I know you can buy a years subscription at once, but you don't get a discount for doing so, so why do it.  

I noticed there was a three month deal for 99 cents.  I know I can't get it, but it's stupid... why give customers that haven't even bought it before such a good deal, but long term customers not?  There's no reason to buy a year at once unless you just want to get it out of the way now.  I love Spotify but I don't know... I might just stop using it for a while.  It just seems like an added expense and after a while it's just too much, not worth the money.
