I paid for the $9.99 subscription but I checked my bank account and it took out $16. Spotify explain

That doesn't sound right. Let's see what we can suggest! Did you try to make payment more than once? If so, payment attempts may appear on your statement even if they didnโ€™t successfully complete.

 

When a payment is submitted, your bank / credit card company place a temporary authorization on the funds, so it might show as deducted from your overall balance but no money is actually taken and the funds will reappear on your statement.

 

If you think this has happened, you can reach out to your bank / credit card company for more information.

 

If this doesn't seem correct, we'd suggest reaching out to Support so that they can check behind the scenes! You can do this one of the below ways:

Spotify charged me $16.27 just to reinstall the app! I have no subscriptions active on Spotify, yet I was charged
