Credit Card was charged without reconfirmation and still account was on free mode

my nephew chose the student discount, placed my credit card number but after asking for his UNiDAYS, he wasn't able to push through it. After a few seconds, got a notification thru my SMS that my card was charged. Upon checking with spotify account, was still on free account mode. transaction history didn't indicate any charges. I have my ref. no. for the transaction that was sent by my card provider but spotify on the other hand had no confirmation whatsoever. HELP.

If Spotify is unable to verify his student I.D, he won’t be eligible to claim the student discount. In this instance, any charges will show on your statement as ‘pending’. This means your bank has put a temporary authorization on the funds, but no money has actually been taken.

Once the bank confirms that his student I.D failed to verify successfully, the money will reappear on your statement. This can take up to 48 hours, depending on your bank. You can reach out to them for more information about any pending payments.
