Is it possible to keep just 1 account, but add the number of locations that can listen at once?

Heya- my boyfriend and I want to keep the same account, with all the same suggestions, playlists, discover playlist, etc in one account, but were wondering if we can purchase the option of using the account in two locations. We don't want all new accounts, we want to access the same original account.

For example, if I'm out and about and he is at home, we both want to be able to hear whatever we like in different places.

Welcome to the Spotify community!

Spotify is licensed for personal use, therefore you are only able to listen to Spotify on one device at a time and you cannot purchase an upgrade to use the same account simultaneously on two devices. It is against the Terms and Conditions of Use to share your account with another person.

You can however, purchase a Spotify Premium for Family subscription. You will both be able to have your own account so that you can listen to music in two different places. 

You could also make your playlists collaborative and share them with your boyfriend's account so that you would both be able to listen to edit the playlist. Learn how by clicking here, or follow the steps outlined bellow.

Desktop:

1. In the left panel, right-click a playlist.
2. Select Collaborative Playlist.
3. Share it with the other account.

Mobile:

1. Tap Your Library in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Playlists and select one.
3. Tap Options in the top-right corner.
4. Tap Make Collaborative.
5. Share it with the other account.
