My Question:
I currently have Premium Duo but I heard there is a similar plan that has everything but the audiobooks. I do not use Spotify for audiobooks so I would like to switch to Basic Duo, but I do not see the option. Where can I update my plan?

The plan you're talking about is currently only available in the UK and Australia, which is why you're not seeing it on your end. 🙂

I live in the US. Basic Duo is an option for me, so it includes more regions. But the description is unclear what it includes, so I am unsure if it is still a Premium plan or not.

The availability of the Basic plan has expanded very recently, so it wasn't available in the US at the time of writing the post. 😉
Right now, the only benefit the Basic plan doesn't include, is access to Audiobooks. 🙂

So the basic duo plan has all the features of a Premium Plan (below), but it isn't marked "Premium" in the list of plans ?? Confusing. (Ad-free music listening / Download to listen offline / Play songs in any order / High audio quality / Listen with friends in real time / Organize listening queue)
I still cannot find this issue. I live in the US and do not see the option to switch to Basic Duo.

Basic plans are only available for Premium Family and Duo owners (Premium Individual users also). We can see in the screenshot you sent that you're a Plan Duo member. This means you won't see the option because you're not the plan owner.
You can ask the Premium Duo owner to check from their account with this link. They should see the option and they can change the subscription. You will both still have Premium Duo, but the owner won't have access to Audiobook Premium listening time.

Hi, I just lost access to the Basic Duo Plan as well. I was sure I had it in June, and then I saw that the fee I was being charged increased in July to 16.99 (Premium). When I downgraded, it became a "free" account so that I had to resubscribe to Premium since Basic Duo was no longer visible as an option. Is Basic Duo (or Basic anything) available in the U.S.?
Has basic duo been removed now? I can't see it in the UK and wanted to downgrade from Basic Family to Basic Duo as I have no interest in audiobooks.

Thanks for your replies in this thread.
Bear in mind that once you canceled a Basic plan, it's not possible to subscribe to it again. This means that if your account reverted to the free version, you won't be able to resubscribe to the Basic plans.
On another note, if you already have Premium, you can only change to the Basic plan of the current plan you have. If you have Premium Individual, you can only change to Basic Individual. If you have Premium Duo, you can only change to Basic Duo, and so on. Additionally, it's not posible to change from one Basic plan to another.

My Question or Issue
I'm trying to switch/downgrade my Premium Duo subscription to a Basic Duo one (due to price increase and not using any of the audiobook features). Website indicates I should be able to switch this through subscription-management in my account, however this process keeps asking me to pay the full monthly amount instead of settling this with the current automatic payment already in place. (as mentioned on https://support.spotify.com/nl/article/switch-premium-plans/ ).
Helpdesk/chat also states I should only be asked for a €0,01 identification-payment, but instead the full amount keeps showing.
Tried on phone, normal browser and incognito browser; all give the same result.
Is this a bug on Spotify-side?
