Mistaken gift card

Someone tried to send me a gitf card for a 3 month subscription and it ended up giving them a 3 month subscription instead, without any redeeming on their end or any received e-mail by any one of us.

How can I change the subscription from their account to mine?

I did some checking on this issue with Spotify. It sounds like the person who gifted you may of entered their email address instead of yours.
