Spotify changing subscription without authorisation by me

I got an insite from my bank today telling me that my regular Spotify payment was more than usual so I checked and it seemed that Spotify has changed my plan without asking or getting my authorisation which is illegal as far as I am aware and I cannot get through to a customer service rep. Any idea what I can do?

Hey @Jaygrundy 

 

Did you get an email receipt for your subscription purchase?

 

In it, it shows the Spotify username you paid for:

 

Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

 

Login with that username to the website to check the status of your subscription, and your receipts.

 

If you didn't get a receipt, it probably means you paid a different account from the one you currently use. Checking your receipts is a way to confirm that.
