Can't add podcast episodes to library / can't download

Issue:

Downloading podcast episodes / adding them to "my episodes" doesn't work or works intermittently. When I click "download" an episode may or may not begin downloading, sometimes I have to click it a few times. It will begin downloading, bit if I try to begin a download of another episode, the download fails / disappears with no error, and so does the next one I was trying to download. This also applies to just adding episodes to "my episodes" without downloading them. It seems to be somewhat intermittent, but is happening enough to make the episode download and "my episodes" features unusable. 

Troubleshooting steps so far:

Clear cache from the app

Force stop and clear cache from the phone

Restart phone

Switch network connections

Uninstall and reinstall app

This is quite odd and specific and we haven't encountered anything quite like this recently. Could you please provide us the following:

• Is this on all devices or only on Pixel phone? If you haven't tested this, please do so.
• When did this start happening? Did it work before?
• Does it only affect podcasts or songs too? Does it happen only with specific podcasts or with any of them?
• If you add the podcast episodes to a playlist, does downloading the playlist work as expected?

I have this exact issue on android. It happens when I try to download podcast episodes I’ve already listened to.

A workaround I’ve found is to click on the options for the episode and select “mark as finished” and again to select “mark as not started”. Then you can click it to download and there’s no issue. 
Hope that helps and I hope the issue gets fixed soon because it’s really annoying and time consuming to go through it this way.
