My Question or Issue
So I've been using Spotify for 3 years now, and I've always liked how on mobile, in Liked Songs, the scroll bar on the side actually showed you the date (month, year format) as you went up and down the playlist (obviously in chronological order to when the songs were added). Additionally, at the top of the playlist, I really liked how you could sort by genre/mood, and the search bar feature, allowing you to search for specific songs. About 3 months ago, I've been noticing these features disappearing out of nowhere, and suddenly coming back again. A regular scroll bar to go through the playlist, no dates shown. No genre feature, or even a search bar. Now, when this first started happening, as I said, 3 months ago, they would regularly disappear, but then come back a few days later. Even more recent, for about a month now, it hasn't come back at all. I've asked my friends and their Liked Songs all have the features mine are missing. Why is this happening, and how do I get it fixed?
Hey @ryankalvintrinh,
Thanks for reaching out.
The features you're referring to are still being tested so it's normal to see them come and go. Unfortunately, we can't enable them manually for your account, rest assured however that your feedback has been forwarded to the right teams at Spotify.
Thanks for understanding. Let us know if there's anything else.
Please add this feature back ASAP. Really no reason to remove this whatsoever.
It’s back again. But for how long?
when will the rogue product manager decide we’re too spoiled and take it back. No strategy according to spotifys above replies, just a random addition and subtraction of features according to whim.
So it's back for you too. That's great! Well, do you know if the feature was taken back earlier and added again? For me, this is the first time. As long as Spotify exists as a competitor to Apple, Amazon and YouTube, I'm very happy. If they die sooner or later from not being able in covering their expenses (what the other corps can cover from their other revenues), this will have a great impact on the market and users will suffer. The other services/apps just have a worse experience. At least to what I know, Apple and Google don't have a date scroller and don't try to innovate as much as Spotify does.
What I'm trying to get across is that I believe that Spotify will not make it another 10 years, at least in the ways it works now. This is why I'm so happy, for everyday they prove their competitiveness and superiority over Apple etc. Of course, I'm not at all happy with some of their strategies (what ever they might be) and means of communication. Can you understand me or even agree?
It’s finally back!

My Question or Issue
I used to be able to see the month I added music into my “liked songs” playlist…how do I enable that feature once again? Or is that something that is completely done away with? It’s so annoying that I can’t see when I added songs…
It's gone for me too, since a few days.
Even if it comes back, what's the point? What are you playing at, it's a perfectly fine feature.
First time I'm seriously considering moving out, I have thousands of liked songs and it's a crucial part of user experience to be able to trace back the dates songs were liked. Fix**bleep** Spotify
I have been using the dates scroll bar to listen to all 3000 of my liked songs. Today it was gone and I am so sad. Please bring back the dates scroll for liked songs playlist.
The removal of the heart was already crazy enough. Now when I get to my liked songs, I can no longer scroll by time. I think it was incredibly helpful now I do think some people are going to get into accidents
I thought I was the only one that lost the dated scroll bar! I got it back for a short time at the end of last year. It was one of the reasons why I love Spotify, dont understand why such a useful feature keeps getting taken off. I have seriously been considering switching to a competitor after 12 years. Please bring it back.
