[Discover] Remote office "radio"

[Discover] Remote office "radio"

My company has offices distributed across more than 20 countries in addition to a significant number of remote employees. With such a diverse community, it would be very cool to have a community radio station based on the listening preferences of our employees.

This "radio station" would know who is online and listening to the station and automatically take into account the listening history of these users to shuffle the music as users drop in and drop out.

This concept builds on the existing Group Session feature without needing one centralized user. This could also become a new source of revenue as companies could offer Spotify Premium as an employee benefit.

A simplified version of this concept would also not need to rely on a company community and instead rely on one's Facebook friends / Spotify connections. Rather than a live radio station with a title like "New Music from Friends" in which Spotify could create weekly playlists curated from your friend's listening experience in the previous week. A company playlist could be "New Music at [Company Name]".

Hi @127256775,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

We've moved your idea to this help board as there are some things we'd like to clarify about the submission.

At the moment, you can already find features such as Blend playlists (for 2 users) and collaborative playlists (for any amount of users).

Another important thing to note is that we can't guarantee the implementation of an option to show who's online at that moment, as every Spotify user can manage their privacy settings and choose to hide their current listening activity.

Lastly, please keep in mind that one of the idea submission guidelines is "One change request per Idea" and currently your submission has two ideas (the collaborative radio and the possibility to see who's online).

Feel free to submit a new idea - just make sure to familiarize yourself with the above guidelines.

Thanks!
