Display song duration in playlist

Display song duration in playlist

Hi everyone,

Im curious to find out whether it’s possible to display the duration of songs within a playlist. As a yoga teacher I create classes with music using Spotify, and it would be super beneficial if I could see how long a specific song is before clicking on it from my playlists and let the song play. Sometimes I want to use a short track and sometimes a longer one but from my created playlist I cannot see this detail, neither can I sort a certain playlist based on duration of the songs. I believe this feature can really help a lot of people using Spotify in certain settings so hopefully something like this exists or could be added to its functionalities.

Hoping someone can help me out, thanks in advance and all the best!

Hey there @Nv84,

Welcome to the Community!

While it's currently possible to view the duration of tracks within the Desktop app and Web Player, it's a very good suggestion to be able to do so in the mobile app as well. It seems that there are other users that would like this function available on mobile and there's currently an Idea which you can vote for in order to show your support.

We also understand that it'd be very beneficial for you if you could sort songs in playlists based on their duration. As we're always looking for ways to improve the app and its functions, we really appreciate your feedback.

With this said, you can go ahead and submit your own idea about this on our Idea Exchange board. Keep in mind that the more votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented. Additionally, here you can find more info about ideas in general.

Thanks once again and we're here if there's anything else we can help out with 🙂
