My Question or Issue

My Shazam playlist does not synchronise when new songs are identified as it used to do. I have deleted both apps and reinstalled them, logged our and back in but with no effect. Please help me re-establish this feature.

Hi @kdravn,

Thanks for reaching out to the Spotify Community!

Unfortunately, Shazam no longer supports syncing tracks to Spotify. Now, you can only open discovered tracks directly in Spotify. If you check Shazam's settings, you'll notice it says, "(Connect) Apple Music - Your music will sync to an Apple Music playlist," but this option is no longer available for Spotify.

I hope this clears things up! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask here in the Community.

Cheers!

Source for "Shazam no longer supports syncing tracks to Spotify"?

Using Shazam ver. 18.8 and syncing it Spotify is still an option.

Update: I got it to work (partially) by reconnecting Shazam with Spotify. It syncs identified songs to Spotify playlist when the Shazam app is open, but NOT if I use Shazam through control centre shortcut to identify songs.

@nesdroc that seems to be accurate for me too, or at least the most likely explanation for why some of mine sync and others don't. some also seem to work from the control center shortcut but only get added once i later add the shazam app, or something like that.

you can export csv from shazam web interface and import that to a playlist anywhere, i found that to be the only reliable option

(and it is so annoying shazam hides this option, log in from browser here https://www.shazam.com/myshazam)
