Also, the android 14 troubleshooting steps I've taken are just the same as before, reinstalling and clean reinstalling makes no difference for me.
My Recent list just stopped updating today. I had played about 10 songs and realized the app was stuck on 6. Closed and restarted. Logged out and back in. No diff. Spotify.com has exactly the same count, so it is not just the app. Hence I don't see the point of uninstalling and reinstalling. (Why bother with a screenshot? It'll forever say 6 songs played today.) Incidentally how is it OK not to have tech support accessible to paying customers?
It's happening again. I hate this and it won't appear on stats.fm too...
I have been having the same problem. This morning I was listening to music and it tracked 6 songs that I had listened to and then just completely stopped logging anything I have listened to since. The recent activity is still showing playlist additions, just not listening activity. I have tried to restart my phone (except the problem is happening on my laptop too), logging out/logging back in, and seeing if the app needs an update. Nothing has worked and this has been happening all day. This is also effecting my stats.fm and airbuds as well. please help

same thing is happening to me. it fixed itself a few days ago but has started doing it again. it's not updating anything i'm listening to on recently updated or stats.fm and airbuds, and it's probably gonna start doing the thing where it randomly adds half of the songs to my history in the incorrect order
Yep this is what happened again yesterday/today. Didn't update until after midnight, and all the songs are in the wrong order.

I have the same problem and have tried all of the above suggested steps, this has been going on for at least 2 weeks
I'm also having the same issue now, everything was perfectly last night. It's a recurring problem to me since it breaks for me now and then... Interesting enough stats.fm seems to still be tracking my songs but Spotify doesn't...
My recents haven't updated for 6 days. Android. Galaxy S23+. Spotify version 9.0.64.608.
Today is 8/2/2025. My recents list starts on June 19, 2025 - nothing more recent than that. I am using an iPhone 16 Plus. Help.

My Question or Issue
Spotify Recents in Android Mobile will no longer update. I just get a "Something went wrong, would you like to try again" error. I have followed all advice I have seen on this forum - logging in and out of my account multiple times, clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, as well as removing the app from all the devices I use Spotify on. Don't know if this matters but I have a couple of playlists that approach 10,000 songs, however I never play anything from those playlists, I just use them to eliminate recommended songs I've already heard. Recents worked fine up until a few weeks ago, I am now at a loss.
