My Question or Issue

Every time I open spotify on my desktop, there are more and more "My Playlist #[number]" playlists in my library. They are empty. They are not playlists I have created, all of my actual playlists are still intact. It takes forever to delete them because there is no way to mass select them to perform batch operations.

Picture attached. Notice how tiny the scrollbar is. I have well over 100 of these useless playlists.

What is creating them?

Why can't I shift+click or ctrl+click to select multiple playlists so I can mass delete these?

Thank you

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

That is strange indeed. Do you remember logging into your account on any new device recently? I'd recommend resetting your password using this link and then sign out everywhere. Log into the account overview page and scroll down to click sign out everywhere.

You should also check out the manage apps section and disconnect any service that you do not recognize. Above steps will ensure that there is no unauthorized access to your account.

Once that is done, open the desktop app and create a folder. Then drag and drop all the playlists into that one folder. You can then delete the entire folder to remove all playlists at once.

Let me know if that helps. 🙂
