can't play local files anymore after reinstall PC

On my previous PC I synced local music files to my ihpone, so they are in my library. After I reinstalled my PC, the files are visible in my library, also playable from my iPhone, but no longer from the PC. Isn't it strange, since the files still have to be synchronized back to my PC?

Hey @DMiddelink, thanks for asking in the Community! 🎵

To ensure that your local files work well on the PC, you will have to get a copy of them in a folder on your PC and then add that folder as a source for your local files.

Make sure to read this guide to learn more about local files.

Let me know how it goes. 🙂

Well, I re-installed my pc, so I don’t have my local music files anymore

Hi, @DMiddelink,

Syncing local files across devices on the same network by downloading the playlist directly is now a legacy feature which may no longer work as intended. To learn more about the revamped process and ensure proper functionality, refer to the article @Amay has provided above.
