Apple Watch - Bluetooth headphones not showing up

Hi,

I’v got a new Apple Watch SE with GSM. I can pair my headphones via Bluetooth (JBL Endurance run) and I can make phone calls, hear app alerts etc. 

However, the headphones don’t show up as an audio output in the Spotify app on my watch (and therefore I can’t listen to music)

I’ve got a premium Family account.

Any advice is appreciated!

Could you please restart the watch to see if that makes any difference?

It turned out that a software update (that old chestnut ) on the watch  was required. Now it’s all working!
