How to actually delete music?

I have noticed that when I press the download button to change in from green to gray, the music disappears. When I press it again it reappears immediately as if it was still saved and simply hidden. So theoretically that music keeps taking up space? So how do I actually delete music?

If you "un-download" music, it does not continue taking up space. I was running out of space at one point so I tested "deleting" some songs, and my storage used by Spotify went down. So, in conclusion, it actually does delete when you "un-download music."
