My Spotify Premium is not activating

Hello. I have purchased spotify premium and now paid a month and it still hasnt activated on my iphone 4s app... please help

Problem? The problem is that spotify had no problem with take the money for the premium account from my bank! But I still haven't premium account !!

Haha...truly patience is a virtue. however it does appear that Spotify has identified ths as an issue, and I hope that it is being worked on. Looking forward tobthevsolution.

I bought a Premium Subscription (3 month) today, and neither my computer nor my iPhone recognizes the upgrade. I have tried logging out and back in again, re-installing the app, etc, but when I try to play a song, it tells me I have to upgrade.

 

Please help!

I load My premium by giftcard yesterday and it dosens work on computer or mobile !!!

Been a premium user for a few years, cancelled recently due to losing phone and only use it on iOS. Bought a new phone and premium and it worked briefly but then went back to saying I'm not a premium user. Help. Username is mittonx, not logged into a wrong account or anything.

Same issue here. Upgraded, says I'm premium user, but no matter what the mobile app keeps telling me that I have to be premium user to stream music on demand. I've deleted the app, restarted my phone, reloaded app, logged back in - did this many times to no avail.

 

Very frustrating.

The problem with that logic is that by not posting that there's a problem and a fix is on its way, you're building a sizeable base that is paying you for a broken service, canceling their subscriptions, and telling everyone they know how they got screwed by Spotify.

Look at the dozens of people who have signed up since the problem started and they're all pissed off. Especially when they come on the Community board and find out this has been happening for months, years even.

My premium account is not working on my iPhone5. It says, "only premium accounts can stream music" on my iPhone. chet.marshall.9

Can I make a recommendation that you disable the option for people to upgrade to premium until you sort this issue out. Knowningly taking money from people for a service you currently cannot provide is at best bad business and at worst potentially illegal.

I'm having the same problem as a1s2d3f4 Its rather urgent because I'm needing spotify for a mass party tonight. Ordered this morning(ish) and the premium upgrade still isnt getting registered by the application. really dont want to have to contact my bank because its getting close to looking for a refund  😕

I have posted a recount of these problems on Facebook. Spotify may choose to pretend there are no problems (ref. the "jolly" status page). But we are free to tell people about them.

Having the same problem as everybody else. Signed up this morning, still won't say I'm premium on desktop or iPhone app. Pretty crappy since I really wanted to use the app during the day today. Guess I'll have to go back to using MOG, since it's a hell of a lot more reliable (unless Spotify can do something to keep me...) 

 

I just want a streaming music service that works... not one whose account systems don't sync. Annoying.

If you feel uncool with this thing servers are without any notification to Spotify very slow and unable to handle all those updates, you can ask for a gift, just use Contact form. They have surprise for you.

@hpguru: why wait for the claim? Why not simply give all involved "the gift". And why lie on the status page? This issue is close to 24 hrs old.

Use FB etc and tell people how Spotify are cheating people.

Spotify Community isn't in any way official support way. If you need a gift for problem Spotify can't be ready - servers can be broken like computers without any notice to person who manage servers and yes, fix is not that simple "restart server".

 

If you feel you need a gift, contact to Spotify using Contact form. These things can't be solved here at Community.

I do not feel I need a gift. I feel that Spotify should act responsible. They should start by informing people about these issues (start on the system status page); instead of being "jolly". Secondly reimburse people.

And all others: Tell your friends how Spotify is cheating you. Talk about it on FB etc.

When your PC dies, do you often receive some notification I will die tomorrow, purchase new one! ?
