My playlists are always on shuffle even though it's not on shuffle mode

Solved!

My playlists are always on shuffle even though it's not on shuffle mode

Everytime I start playing music I click the first song at the top of my playlist, I've set mine to recently added music first. I want it to play in the order from most recent song and down the list in that order, however all that's happening is my music is shuffled and not in order. I've tried everything to make sure it should be working properly but nothings helping

Yes, it's probably a queue issue then!

Don't worry about the desktop app - you can clear it from your iPhone - just follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Spotify app.
  2. Play any song.
  3. Open the song in full-screen and tap the Queue (three stacks) button in the bottom right corner.
  4. Tap Clear queue next to Next in Queue. That's it; all the songs in your queue will be deleted.

Let me know if it works!

Hey @hollieee, thanks for writing, and welcome to the Community.

My first suggestion is that you check if your queue is empty, as we often leave some songs line up there.

Also, does it happen with all playlists? Can you check if it also happens when you use a desktop version of Spotify?

Ahh I had a feeling it had something to do with my queue. I tried looking for a way to clear that but couldn't figure out how. It does happen to all my playlists, the next song always comes from my main playlist and not the one I'm currently on. Also I'm not sure if it's desktop or not, I just use my iPhone 12 phone for my music so I'm assuming it's not considered a desktop version but correct me if I'm wrong! Lol
