iPhone 5 Lock Screen Doesn't Update Display for Song, Track & Time (BUG?)

My iPhone 5 with latest spotify app won't update the display for the song being played, the track or the running time. I can start either a playlist for a cd, complilation or starred tracks and whether they are downloaded as offline or not, when the next song plays the lock screen display remains on the first song name, picture, track and the time keeps running.

I've search multiple times and only saw posts for iPhone 4 bugs and even those weren't resolved as far as I could tell.

It's a bigger deal because I use in my car as well via bluetooth and the lockscreen display is always wrong leading to the car's display being incorrect as well. Seems like an easy update, will this issue be addressed? I also tested multiple times just watching the iphone play tracks without blue tooth and the lockscreen display still doesnt update as the songs continue to play (once in a while randomly it will update but could be an hour of play).
