redeem card failed to change my account status

I have redeemed several gift cards in order to unlock spotify premium for 3 month. At first my spotify account information said that I will be using Premium for the next three month but I could not use any of the Premium services neither on my macbook nor on the mobile app (I have logged in and out several times) After that I have checked my account information again (on the spotify web page) and it said that I am still using Spotify Free. I have tried to reedem the gift card codes again but that did not work out either.

Hey Paul,

You have redeemed the codes onto an account linked to your Facebook.  If you login using your Facebook details, you will be able to use the Premium.
