A playlist was modified. Can I get the old songs back?

A playlist was modified. Can I get the old songs back?

Hi,

A playlist I used to listen to, "Digster Best of 2013" got updated, and all the songs I used to listen to and like was deleted from that playlist. Is there any way to get to know what songs were deleted from that playlist? The updated playlist is titled, "Digster Best of 2014".

Thanks!

Sorry those playlists like that are tough as they can change at anytime. There is two things you can do. If you recently listened to all the songs in that playlist before it was changed do this. Go to Play Queue in the left navigation bar, and then click on History, scroll down as the last song played is the first song listed, so the first song played from that playlist maybe a ways down the list. When you locate most or all the songs, highlight the first and then the last song desired from the history listing and then drag and drop into a new or current existing playlist.

Second. This option may take some time and also using the search. Use the search term for that digster playlist Digster Best of 2013, click on the area called playlists from the search return, what you are looking for is not that playlist by digster anymore, as you say it got update. What you are looking for is user created playlists with those same songs in it that existed before the changes. Once you locate a user created playlists you can either just follow it, but since the user can change it at any time, I would just highlight and select all songs and then do the same thing as above drag and drop the songs into a new playlist or an existing one already for your own archive?

That is all I can suggest. A general FYI when it comes to either spotify created playlists, and or third party services such as digster it is always best to archive that music for your own use, those playlists change all the time. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for your reply! I tried your suggestions, and it helped me get a few songs back, and just today I realized most of the songs can be got back from the facebook activity time line as well (facebook lists all songs you've listened to in the acitivity log). Thanks for your reply once again!

Hello, I have the same problem with another playlist. You say facebook lists all songs you've listened to, I am curious where I could find this list?

I know you posted this quite some time ago but I really want the songs back.

Sadly Facebook changed how content is handled when added to a users timeline, I have kind of given up on it. I use Last.fm now to maintain a constant play history of everything I have ever played, with a few opps removed when I played something that soured me of course. The Spotify desktop and mobile apps allow users to connect to their last.fm accounts, and I also use it now to double check things I want to go back and listen to again but might have forgotten which artists it was. http://www.last.fm/ create a account, does not cost anything, and there are third party tools based on their API, so users can scrobble from different music sources such as Youtube and whatnot.

If I'm correct, then there is no way of getting my old playlist back, right?

It is not stored somewhere or there are no older version to get back from someone on the inside?

It would be a real shame if I could not listen to my favourite playlist anymore. 😞

Hello:

If you created a Spotify account using Facebook, or at least connected a Facebook account to your Spotify account, and you are using the most recent Spotify apps, you can get to Spotify play history by going to your Facebook User Page, and clicking on View Activity Log. If Spotify and Facebook are working correctly there should be a listing of the most recent content from Spotify listened to going back in time here.

I noticed while digging through my Facebook page, that a few things did start working right with play content getting added to my Facebook users Activity Log. This being I am currently using the most recent version of the Spotify desktop app 1.0.25, and I also double checked to make sure the new Spotify app listed on my Apps page of Facebook is the lighter green color and not the darker one. Users might want to double check their Facebook pages under connected apps, and make sure they have the most up to date app from Spotify connected to their Facebook pages, if play history from Spotify is not getting posted to their pages correctly.

I am having tha same problem with the playlist gold school of hip hop
