Accidently bought new months spotify premium

I was planning to use my NUS card to subscribe for a year, however I've continued with the standard renewal process thinking it would offer me to include the nus card discount at the payout.

It didn't and I've been charged £9.99 from my card, is it possible for me to cancel this payment so I can continue with the NUS year subscription?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

If you head over to the NUS page and follow the links to sign up now, you should be able to add your NUS number to your existing account, and you will pay the reduced fee the next time your subscription is renewed and will continue to pay the reduced rate each month. I am not 100% sure if you can sign up using an NUS card and pay in advance like you can on regular premium, would need someone else to double check that! 

If you are having any issues with subscribing using NUS card details, you can always drop the team a message using the online contact form and one of their lovely advisors will get back to you.

Just thought I'd bump this because I got the same thing, I was wondering whether I could cancel my subscription so I don't have to pay £10 despite me having an NUS card. I've signed up for it now, but I'm really annoyed I'm having to pay £10 when I should have got it for £5 if there was a clearer idea on how to add the NUS card bit

Are you paying via a rolling monthly subscription or did you pay for 1 month as a gift/eCard? 

If you are paying via the rolling subscription, just head to the NUS page and add your card details to your existing account, it will automatically reduce the cost of your future payments.
