Account Hacked/Stolen?

Hi, I tried to log in to my account today and all i get is an errormessage about wrong username/password

 

When i try to reset the password using the username I get an error telling me no account is linked to that username, and when i try to use my email it tells me the same again, and then that there has been an error and gives me a link to the supportpages.

 

When i then use free account to log in and search for my premiumaccount I can see the account and some of my public playlists but also added are a few new playlists in dutch that i DID NOT add myself... also there are some recently played tracks that i have never heard of.

 

I guess my account has been stolen/hacked and that the person that stole the account simply changed usename/email and everything.

 

Or is there some other explanation to this? I have contacted support via the form and twitter earlier this morning and have yet to hear back from them.

In regards to your queries, this sounds like something for our accounts teams. 

 

That's great but how do I reach them?

 

No fears my friend! You can reach them by contacting them over at this link here. Selecting, Account and Login > Problems Logging In  > Select the device, will make sure the right team get on top of things for you.

 

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Is there anything else I'll need to do?

 

Yes, indeed there is! To also make sure of safe arrival of your message, you'll receive an automated reply. If you reply back to this message, it'll speed things along. 

 

If you could also let us know the 8 digit case # at the top of this automated reply, we can chase things further for you here too.

I have sent a ticket to the supportteam (02495131).

 

Any bumping would be awesome, the sooner the person that wrongfully use my account could be kicked out the better 🙂 But i guess i dont need to say that 🙂

Luckily i could give the requested information for the support to reset the account and let me change password.

 

Now i just want to get hold of the person that hacked the account and laugh hard in his face since he now atleast cant get any free rides on my creditcard 😛

Hi!

I can't log in to my account after being logged out today. Spotify won't accept my username and e-mail address. I read on the Spotify Community about accounts being hacked and I believe that's exactly what's happened to me. I sent a message to the Support center on Spotify.com. Is there anyway you could speed things up a bit if I give you the case number?

It is currently the weekend where the Spotify offices are located, so unfortunately I won't be able to send the team a message to bump your case.

 

Spotify usually replies to emails within 24 hours. If you don't get a reply after 24 hours, please let me know.

Hello, so I had to make another Spotify account to see what's going on with my hacked one. I recieved an email that someone had change my email and I have never changed my email since I've been a premium member. I need help recovering my old account 😕 I don't want to lose any of my music and Spotify doesn't seem to be getting back to me fast enough. Please help!
