A friend wants to give me a 3 or 6 month code for a gift but I am using a Canadian address and credit card on my current Spotify account?

There have been problems in the past with people trying to use gift cards from other countries, so you might run into problems.

On the e-card page it says

"Spotify Premium codes can only be redeemed by recipients in the same country as the country you bought the e-card in."

But that might not apply to physical gift cards.
