Please provide some more info about your issue. What exactly is preventing you from updating your country setting? Are you seeing any error messages? Are you currently on Free or Premium?

Country or region does not allow the dropdown (although I am in the new coutry) then when I got to change card as per instructions the error of "Your payment method and country don't match."

I have the same issue and it s very annonying everytime I travel I have to change the country in the settings and this time when I got back I was not able to access any playlist of my playlists. I m in Canada and I get a message asking me to update my location (it s the right location) instead of getting it easier for people to use it getting ridiculously complicated for nothing

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Be advised that if you have Premium, you don't have to update your country every time you travel and can keep using Spotify abroad. We only recommend changing it if you're moving to a different country for an extended period of time.

 

If you're trying to update your country while on Premium and getting the country mismatch error, consider cancelling your Premium, waiting for your account to revert to free and then resubscribing using the new card. It should definitely work that way. Don't worry, you won't lose your playlists or anything else in this process, provided you always use the correct account.
