Cannot Log in on any system

Hi. 

 

There's another post from someone with a similar issue, and their issue is unresolved.  So here I go..

 

I cannot log in to spotify on my iPhone, MacBook, or Windows computer.

 

iPhone: When trying to log-in through Facebook, my Facebook app opens and says "An error occured with Spotify.  Please try again later."

I have tried:

- Turning phone on and off

- Uninstalling Spotify, turn phone off, on, reinstall

- Uninstalling Facebook, turn phone off, on, reinstall

 

Windows: Stays on log-in screen for a long time.  I have email notifcation turned on for when I log-in to Facebook, and I get upwards of 15 notifications that Spotify has logged into Facebook.  Then I get a notifcation on Spotify that says there may be a Firewall.

I have:

- Quadruple checked Firewall settings, proxy settings.

- Clean uninstall Spotify, restart computer, reinstall

- Unchecked "Remember me" box

- Changed my Facebook password, though that shouldn't matter

 

MacBook: Something similar to Windows. 

 

 

BEFORE this started happening on Windows (when I first realized there was a problem), I could log in, and got error code 404, which forums tell me is a Spotify server issue I can do nothing about.  When logged in, I could see my music but could not play it.  Also, I noticed that the phone number in the top right of the interface was incorrect - not even close to my phone number.

 

 

No music for three days makes this paid subscriber very unhappy.   Please help!

Welcome to the Community. Have you tried disabling these Facebook notification settings at all?

Just head here to do so... https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=security&section=notifications&view

If you could try this, then try logging in again.

Hey Sam, Thanks for replying.

 

I just disabled secure browsing and log-in notifications.  Approval not required when logging in from unrecognized device. No app passwords.

 

Still no luck. 😞
