Change my name and account

Change my name and account

I just purchaced a Premium for family account and thought it was being added to my regular account. But it created a Brand New account with a strange cryptic user name that I will never remember. Then I went to add my son and entered all his information. But it turns out I was actually adding my information! Now the account is totally messed up. How do I fix it so that it all goes into my original account with my info?

Once you submit the info when creating a family plan, you won't be able to edit it and you'll have to create a new account. Sorry about that!

 

No worries, if you make sure your music collection is stored in public playlists, you can visit your old account with your new account and grab all your songs from there. You can visit your old account by putting the following string in the search bar:  spotify:user:username

 

Don't forget to replace username with your own username. Oh and by the way, If you want to use the same email address for your new account, you'll have to close your old account. You'll have 7 days to visit your old account and find your music there.
