Changing Date of Birth- Wrong one displayed

Changing Date of Birth- Wrong one displayed

Hi everyone,

 

I'm in a bit of a bother. My date of birth isn't the one that is currently displayed on my Spotify account (It says a date from 2002 and I was born in 1998). I've tried logging into my Facebook to change it which has my correct birth date on it but nothing works. If anyone could help me, that would be great, thanks!

Hey @user-removed

 

If you logon to your Spotify profile there'll be a button to edit details so you can change your date of birth the the correct one!

Thanks for replying, I've tried to do that but it keeps telling me to edit my Facebook account details which I have already done.

Have you given Facebook full access to your profile?

 

You can check by heading over to your Facebook settings. On the left-hand panel you're going to see a list of options. Please select Apps. Under the Logged in with Facebook tab you'll see the Spotify logo. 

 

If you hover over it, you'll see a pen, which is the Edit option. Click on it, and make sure the blue check mark is enabled on the options you wish to see.

Found the apps part, my Spotify was under only me in the settings but I've changed it to public. The other two things were ticked (public profile and email address). My Spotify account still says the wrong date of birth.

I'd get in touch with Spotify via their Twitter page (@SpotifyCares), or by following this link (you won't have to login with this link) to send an e-mail and they'll be able to look into it for you.


If you send an e-mail, please check your inbox (and spam box) to check for their automatic reply. Once you get it, please reply to it immediatly (even if it's from an no-reply e-mail addres) to make sure an Spotify employee will get back to you as soon as possible.

 

Spotify should reply within 24 hours.
