Changing payments but able to keep music library??

My son has his spotify account that was signed up with using his facebook account and we pay thru iTunes.   I contacted spotify but never heard back about this.  My credit card is offering me a cheaper monthly rate but I have to put my payment onto that card.  I have to cancel my payment subscription thru iTunes and then open up the account on spotify website using my credit card, but I am afraid by opening up the account on spotify, will I lose the music my son already has downloaded because I am changing?  Would it be like opening up a new account and starting fresh.  My son has over 500 songs and he would flip out if I lost his music library.
